Our Commitment to Transparency

. . . at the Animal Hospital:

The veterinarians at Village Gate Animal Hospital & Pet Resort provide a commitment to transparency to all clients requiring medical services by using an estimate based approach to providing needed medical services. The estimate approach:

  1. provides a basis for the doctor and the client to review treatment options that are available to the client and their companion,
  2. gives the client an idea of the cost involved in the decision making process when considering treatment options, and
  3. provides a mechanism for the client to know the overall cost of the doctor visit before checking out.
While we at Village Gate Animal Hospital & Pet Resort are committed to the estimate based approach, we realize there are situations (drop-off appointments, emergencies, etc.) where this approach is too cumbersome and documented verbal approvals are the most convenient and effective method. For these situations, initial estimates may be given, but situational constraints require flexibility to properly provide medical care to your companion animal. Outside of these cases, the estimate based approach will be used for wellness care.

The staff at Village Gate Animal Hospital & Pet Resort provides a commitment to transparency to all pet resort clients of our boarding and daycare areas. We at Village Gate Animal Hospital & Pet Resort feel that this is an important and fundamental guarantee that clients of any daycare or boarding facility should have. Clients should not worry about where their companions are staying while at a boarding facility, how many canine friends are actually in a play group, or what a back room really looks like at a canine daycare facility. In order for your companions to feel comfortable at our pet resort, you must also feel comfortable leaving them at our pet resort. To provide this comfort level, ALL areas of our pet resort are open during regular business hours to client tours upon request. We would love to show you our facility because we are proud of it and feel that it is one of the best in the Greater Columbus area.

Note: For the safety of our clients and guests, we ask that all people requesting tours do not interact with the guests, especially in our boarding facility, because some guests could have personalities that may not like this kind of interaction. Furthermore, we may call ahead to certain play groups to notify staff of pending tours because some of our guests get excited at the sight of new people and may need to have their attention diverted in order to maintain order in the play group.
